Description
The Second Time Around provides insight to the century in which the USA came to dominate the world…and to probe outer space. No goal now seems unattainable, so we dismiss earlier timidity and lack of sure-handedness. However, the author lived through most of that century and presents a poignant recollection of variegated events, repercussions and personalities as they came into play. Below is a recent review of Second Time Around
—-“As I finished “The Second Time Around (As I Recall), I began to reflect and give some thought to my life. It is amazing how those you meet in life become a mentor by virtue of association with common past times, friendly conversation, and honest advice on life without intent. Your book was not only a remarkable account on you life, it was an awesome journey through which one could truly see themselves standing with you, running beside you, and observing you perform social and athletic activities. The details and level of emotion were as though I was observing the chronicles of your life first hand. I learned a tremendous amount about many things while reading this book , that the proverbial ‘light bulb’, will remain lit and the clarity in which I see the events of life will be clear regardless of the state of mind I am in. Thank you for taking the time to always provide meaningful dialogue in your writing that is inspirational and thought provoking. Fate brought us into each others paths and speaking for myself; broadened my life in unimaginable ways. First of all, I grew a greater fondness for pride in serving and realizing how military service is a truly educational and broadening experience. Then, by heeding your insightfulness on home purchasing and investment options I was able to make on point decisions that provides the current lifestyle for my family, and hopefully prepared a legacy their future. Then the true test of husbandry as I observed your devotion to Betty to the end and demonstrated how powerful the love of a man can be to those he cares for. Living is more than just being alive. It is about what you do for mankind in addition to impacting the lives of family and friends. Determination and never quitting is worth every bit on time and energy we invest because it dismissed questionable performance, leads self improvement and initiative, dispels laziness, and aids us to become better people. While I feel saying thank you justifies the impact you have made on me, I do so humbly and will all sincerity.”
Bob, Thank you! As our days pass by, know that though I may not always call or write, you are on my mind as the voice of reason, reflection, and encouragement. The great brotherly love and a sign of highest honor, I salute you!”
Yours Truly,
