Description
His Touch, His Glory is not a tell-all, tell-on book. It’s a collection of over 100 true stories relating how God has moved in the lives of real people and how they, in turn, have used His grace to inspire and affect change in the lives of others. They are people who initially may have planned their own steps, but who came to learn that it’s ultimately the Lord who directs their path. This collection of stories shows how everyday people believe that God is at work in their lives.
About the Author
Jay Stockman enjoyed a 34-year career as a sportswriter/editor at four newspapers. For the past 10 years, he’s written monthly personality profile columns for the church newsletter at American Baptist East in Evansville (IN). Through these insights into the lives of others, along with Bible study, he’s come to a greater understanding of the depth of God’s love for His children and the intimacy He wants so much to have with each of them.
That realization far eclipses keeping track of points scored, hits collected, and yardage gained. Such momentary successes are not even close to being in the same ballpark as making decisions in day-to-day living that carry with them implications for an eternity in heaven. No, the world really doesn’t revolve around the Pittsburgh Steelers or sports in general.
Jay is the husband of Linda and father of Krissy. He cherishes time spent with them and other family as well as members of his church family. When the weather gets nice, you can usually find him at a local park shooting basketball and trying to find someone to play him a game of H.O.R.S.E.
