Each October, Franklin Street is visited by over 200,000 people who want to participate in what is considered to be one of the largest street festivals in the United States. The West Side Nut Club organizes and sponsors this mammoth Fall Festival which offers free entertainment, carnival attractions, over 120 food booths, amateur talent competitions and a huge parade. The First full week in October you can support your favorite local non-profits, who prepare some of the best homemade carnival foods around.
