About the Author:
Emilee P. Bird is an enigma wrapped in a riddle surrounded by a question. Her identity, as well as her motivation for coming forward at this time, remains unknown. An even bigger mystery is why she chose some nerd named Andrew Clark to be her mouthpiece. He has only written two other books:
A Cornfield Shipyard (1991). The history of the Evansville, Indiana Shipyards from 1942-1945, to include as the story of each of the 167 LST’s (Landing Ship, Tank) constructed there. The Wabash and Erie Canal; The Lower Divisions (1999). The story of the planning, construction, operation and demise of a 385 mile-long canal the stretched from Ft. Wayne, Indiana, through Terre Haute, and terminated at Evansville, Indiana in the mid-19th century.
About the Illustrator:
Joseph R. Rhodes, the renowned and respected world famous Piasa Bird artist, was a natural choice for this book. Noted for his artistic talents as well as his attention to detail, Mr. Rhodes’ contributions to this book cannot be overstated. Besides that, he worked for free. This is his second collaboration with Mr. Clark, as he also provided many stunning illustrations for the Wabash and Erie Canal book.
