Description
Paulding County in the Splendid Little War contains photos and newspaper articles, soldiers military biographies and is indexed making it a great resource.
This book is dedicated to the young men who for various reasons, decided to join the military to help the Cubans and Filipinos be liberated from oppression. For most, if not all, I assume, had never left either the county, state, or country before. So this was either a trip of adventure or a horror of high magnitude. This book is also dedicated to inspire future generations to research the past and to understand why they are here at this present time. I want to thank the many resources that are available as tools for research. My family who traveled with me to research or “dig up” information. And to my uncle, Ray E. Keck, who inspired me to continue my work on Veteran’s Research for my county of Paulding. Even in death, Ray continues to be in my thoughts as I, at times, get stumped. Many a time I ask myself, “where would Ray look”. I hope you, the reader will enjoy, be amazed, and become aware of these people who walked the Earth. It is not my intention to be hurtful or shame anyone’s name or family. Appreciate “Paulding County in the Splendid Little War”.
