The book chronicles the life of Smokey and the program inspired by him. It contains posters and images provided by the National Forest Service and appendices with information on the Smokey Bear program. It is both a children’s storybook and also a teaching aid for adults and children and is a licensed product by the US Forest Service.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book benefits the Smokey Bear Forest Fire Prevention program.
