Community leaders and history enthusiasts from different walks of life who have a deep appreciation for DeKalb County dug in to detail the history of the land in 12 chapters. Among the authors are: Paul Borek, Sue Breese, Rob Dancey, Sharon Emanuelson, Al Golden, Joan Hardekopf, Roger Hopkins, Robert Hutcheson, Ron Klein, Sherrie Martin, Terry Martin, Clark Neher, Barry Schrader, Averil Schrieber, Jerry Smith and Marcia Wilson.
