Norfolk Fire-Rescue has teamed up with M.T. Publishing Company, Inc. to bring you this brand new, historical publication in celebration of their 150th Anniversary! Norfolk Fire-Rescue became a fully paid professional fire department on December 15, 1871. Public service has continued through various traditions, technology changes and innovations that have evolved to today’s fire and pre-hospital medical service. The modern diverse workforce of firefighters carry on these timely traditions and work to prepare the department well into the future. The 150th anniversary album will include a personnel section and it hopes to memorialize the past and inspire Norfolk’s future pages of history. This book is expected to be out by the summer of 2021.
The 9″ x 12″ coffee-table edition with a deluxe hardbound cover is available on a pre-sale basis, which means only a limited number of books will be printed. High-gloss, double-coated paper is used for superior photo reproduction of the 144 color pages. The post-publication price is $57.50* for the deluxe standard edition. A downloadable, digital edition is offered at $9.95* in conjunction with a hardbound purchase.
