About the Author

David F. Kazmierczak is a career member of the City of Buffalo Fire Department and marked 30 years of service in October of 2016. He is currently assigned to Rescue Company No. 1 which has been his home for the past 14 years.

His start in the fire service goes back to his father, Francis R. Kazmierczak, who was an employee of the Buffalo Corn Exchange. Photography also came from his father, Francis was a very avid photographer and taught David how to capture a setting and subject matter.

David currently has photos published in The Buffalo News both in print and the web, Firehouse and Fire Engineering magazines, The First Responder News, a web ad for Crimson Fire Apparatus, and several local covers.
