An Encylopedia of Piqua, Ohio
Authored by James C. Oda, this volume traces the history of a single Midwestern community, Piqua, Ohio. The book is divided into a number of sections, including the main alphabetical encyclopedia, a biographical section, a year-by-year and a day-by-day timeline, and a patron’s pages section. Each area of the book gives the reader a different perspective on local history and how that history melds with America’s historic heritage.
This work is the result of the collaboration of the Flesh Public Library & Museum, Mainstreet Piqua, and the Piqua Bicentennial Committee. The project would not have been possible without the generous donations of the patrons, the Flesh Public Library Assistance & Development Fund, the Miami County Foundation, the Piqua Community Foundation, the Niels Lundgard Foundation and other private contributions.
